Plan your camp, conference or event at Minnesota State University Moorhead

Housing and Residential Life coordinates the lodging for camps and conference events at MSU Moorhead. We can accommodate simple gatherings or host a full service event! The summer schedule begins approximately 2 weeks after spring commencement and ends 3 weeks before the residence halls open for fall semester.

We have hosted a variety of camps, events and groups. Housing staff will work in close partnership with you to customize your program, providing the highest level of service to assure the success of your event. We welcome the opportunity to host your event!

Our economical daily room rates are based on single or double room occupancy. The lounge spaces in the residence halls can be reserved for group gatherings.

  • Double Rooms are able to accommodate 2 people; 2 TwinXL beds
  • Single Rooms are a Double Room occupied by 1 person; 2 TwinXL beds
  • Apartments are able to accommodate 1-2 people and have a full or queen bed, bathroom, kitchen and living room; air conditioned
  • Apartment Suites are able to accommodate up to four people and include 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room; air conditioned
  • Fridge Rental: $15/event
  • Towels/Linens provided upon request at $5/guest

CLIENT’S INSURANCE. Prior to Client’s occupancy of the space, Client shall provide University with a certificate of general liability and property damage insurance naming University as an additional insured and reflecting coverage to $2,000,000, for death by wrongful act or omission, and to $2,000,000 for any claimant in any other case, but not to exceed $2,000,000 for any number of claims arising out of a single occurrence. Client shall maintain this coverage at its sole expense during its use of the Facilities. Client shall maintain such insurance during the term of this Agreement, and may be required to provide additional evidence as requested by University. If this Agreement is signed by Client less than thirty (30) days prior to the Event, Client shall submit such evidence of insurance upon the signing of this Agreement. No occupancy or use may take place until satisfactory evidence of insurance coverage is provided to University.

The certificate must state, “Minnesota State University Moorhead is named as additional insured on this policy” in addition to listing MSUM as a certificate holder.

View policies summer conferences and campus must adhere to.

  • At least one adult counselor/chaperone will be housed on a floor for every 8 participants or portion under the age of 13.  Based on the gender of the campers, the counselor may be required to use a bathroom on a different floor.
  • At least one adult counselor/chaperone will be on site and available in the residence hall between 6:00 pm to 8:00 am when campers are in the residence halls.
  • Adult counselor/chaperones are encouraged to periodically tour the residence hall (floors where campers are living) to monitor the behavior of participants.
  • At least one adult counselors/chaperones should be present during any meal on campus.
  • A roster of adult counselors and contact information will be provided to Housing and Residential Life prior to check-in.
  • An emergency cell phone number must be provided to Housing and Residential Life prior to check-in.
  • The alcohol and drug policy applies to all conference guests, including counselors/chaperones.
  • Groups will be billed for any damages that are caused.
  • Excessive cleaning charges will be billed to conference group.
  • Lost keys are $50 and will be billed to the conference group.
  • Lost access cards are $5 each and will be billed to the conference group.
